DJ Pony always has - and always will - love music. Starting at age 10 on the piano and proceeding through life armed with a battery of music theory and a passion for dance music gives him the fundamental platform on which any great DJ stands. For him, the only thrill greater than dance music is being able to share it with others.

Based in Portland, Oregon and performing as a club/dance music jock, DJ Pony is 100% focused on playing music that gets crowds excited. From chart-topping pop remixes, house, mainstream club, circuit and occasionally some techno and trance folding into his sets, he dismisses the typical DJ routine of simply playing popular music back-to-back; instead, he uses an entire set to tell a story that motivates the crowd, taking them on a musical journey. In the end, he measures his success not only by people dancing to the music, but by leaving them inspired, energized and even feeling a bit sexy.

DJ Pony's sets mix in selections from a wide variety of genres and times; rather than just specialize in a single style, he selects tracks that work with the theme, compliment each other and drive the crowd's enthusiasm. Typically, his musical style is geared toward high-energy dance tracks featuring strong vocals, driving drums and unique bass lines. Tracks that speak to the crowd, drawing them in by understanding and respecting the unique relationship that people have with music.

DJ Pony has recently set aside his vinyl and CD turntables in favor of digital controllers and software. This has enabled him to bring his entire music library with him to every event and also provides the flexibiliy of using additional effects and loops to create a truly unique musical experience. He's also recently been focusing on various album and remix production projects.
